About

Meet Adam Williams

Adam Williams, Founder of Minerva Health Consulting
Founder & Principal Consultant

I started Minerva Health Consulting because I kept seeing the same problem: great practices and innovative health companies spending enormous energy trying to get paid fairly — and losing. Payer contracts are complicated, credentialing is slow, and the rules seem to change constantly. I built Minerva to be the partner I wished those organizations had.

"The back office shouldn't be what holds a good practice back. That's exactly the problem I built Minerva to solve."

I've spent over a decade in healthcare operations, and honestly, I've sat in almost every seat at the table. I've led payer negotiations at a national virtual behavioral health company, run a 19-person contracting and credentialing team at a large multi-specialty clinic, and built value-based programs from scratch. I've negotiated with Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Carelon, and more than 200 other carriers — and I know what it takes to get favorable terms, not just get a contract signed.

Through Minerva, I've had the privilege of working with clients like Kindly MD, evolvedMD, and Granger Medical to help them navigate contracting, credentialing, and RCM in ways that actually move the needle. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every practice is different, and the strategy has to match.

I hold a master's degree in Organizational Leadership with a focus in Healthcare Management from Quinnipiac University, and I live in Union, Maine. When I'm not deep in a payer contract, I'm serving on the board of Maine Youth Thriving.
